Goal

Huskie Stadium at Northern Illinois University serves as a cornerstone for NIU Athletics and a central location in uniting our campus and community through the pride we experience when winning and demonstrating our university’s commitment to excellence. With NIU Athletics propelling the recruitment and retention process, this multipurpose facility can house the Office of Admissions, Office of Financial Aid, Registrar, Advising, Veteran Affairs, Outdoor Adventures, and Student Activities. This facility would become a place of learning and entertainment for all students during their time in college.

  • Increased efficiency for elevator access for coaches’ booths, press spaces, and indoor club seating which decreases delays at pregame, halftime and postgame.

Premium Experience

General Overview & Summary

Goal

Enjoy NIU football from the most exclusive and comfortable seats in the house in Brigham Field at Huskie Stadium! The Huskie Stadium Premium Experience will offer a host of amenities designed to provide you and your guests with the ultimate gameday experience. These areas are a great way to take a leadership role in support of Huskie Athletics. The Huskie Stadium Premium Experience will provide the best game day atmosphere in the MAC and with a variety of seating opportunities, these amazing facilities provide seats for a range of budgets and tastes.

  • 20-person individual suites.
  • Indoor skybox area.
  • Club areas with views East and West of entire NIU campus.
  • Concessions, bar service and restrooms exclusive to club, suite and loge ticket holders.
  • Catering pantry to exclusively serve suite level patrons.
  • Full catering kitchen and freight elevator to service all premium areas in stadium.

Huskie Stadium East Side

General Overview & Summary

Goal

The renovation of the East Side of Huskie Stadium would become the highlight facility to the Northern Illinois region. It would create a student/University engagement opportunity allowing use for non-gamedays throughout the year and would house premium areas for fans and alumni with bar service, concessions and restrooms exclusive to these premium area ticket holders. Recruitment & Retention activities can be accelerated by adding a new central location for the NIU student body within the East Side of Huskie Stadium. This impressive new front porch for visitors to campus would be a staple for campus tours that begin and end with a breathtaking new facility. The facility could contain: Office of Admissions, Office of Financial Aid, Registrar, Advising, Veteran Affairs, Outdoor Adventures, and Student Activities.

Goal

The enclosure of Huskie Stadium with construction of a South Endzone dedicated to a field-level student area with a seating capacity of 6,500. This addition would create a connecting point for fan movement between the East and West sides of Huskie Stadium.
